Mobile Advocate Teams
West Valley Victim Services provides immediate crisis intervention to victims at the time of the incident through its mobile team advocates. These advocates respond with the police to provide immediate information to crime victims regarding their rights, and the resources and options available to them. The mobile team is responsible for ensuring victims receive immediate services when necessary, such as transportation to shelters or other safe places.

Office Appointments
Victims can receive services by calling ahead or walking into the office. Advocates are available in the office Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Appointments can be scheduled at (801) 963-3223.

Education
West Valley Victim Services provides education and information on the criminal justice system to victims of crime. This service includes the presence of an advocate during hearings and other important criminal justice proceedings, assistance with protective orders and no-contact orders, and a private waiting area for victims and witnesses.

Languages other than English
The West Valley Victim Services office provides information to under-served victims, particularly those that don't speak English. A Spanish-speaking advocate is available full-time to better serve the Hispanic population in our community. Resource information is also available in other languages, such as Bosnian, Somalian and Tongan.

We will treat all victims with respect and dignity. We will strive to reduce the psychological trauma to primary and secondary victims, while building self-esteem and helping to develop coping mechanisms.
