Appliances on and furniture: Old appliances, carpet, and furniture (including couches and mattresses) can be put out for bulky waste collection. Appliances with FREON will not be collected unless it has a proper tag from a private company stating that the FREON has been removed. Appliances containing FREON can be taken to Salt Lake County Landfill at 6030 West 1300 south and disposed of for a fee. Their phone number is 801-974-6920, if you have any questions.
